As a startup you are probably looking for funding, customers and industry know-how, right? Take part in the Resilience Business Cup 2018 - a competition that brings together startups, corporates and 100 Resilient Cities to make a global impact on economic, social and physical challenges.

 

Our mission is to bring together startups, corporates and the 100 Resilient Cities to make a global impact.

 

You and your start-up team will go through a screening process by Valuer.ai, who will use their unique tracking and analytics methods to establish the perfect match between startups and corporates.

 

If you are among the chosen few, you will be invited for the finals in Vejle. Here you will be exposed to the best, most relevant and visionary large corporations, experts from the 100RC network and investor - and work alongside them to solve reals problems.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Startups will be competing in the following categories:

 

WATER

Rethink and discover better solutions for managing water supplies, increasingly heavy rainfall and wastewater, and address the threat
against flooding through blockchain and sensor technology.


Corporates and industry experts: Grundfos, Vejle Spildevand, Vejle Municipality’s Technology & Environment Administration.

 

ENERGY 
Rethink energy through blockchain and sensor technology, and develop new innovative solutions to energy efficient impro¬vements and sustainable use of resources.


Corporates and industry experts: Siemens Gamesa, Vejle Municipality’s Technology & Environment Administration

 

SOCIAL RESILIENCE
Rethink social resilience through blockchain and sensor technology, and develop new.


Corporates and industry experts: Danske Bank, Vejle Municipality, Spinderihallerne

WHAT?

Once you have been chosen for the competition you will be matched with Corporates and industry experts. The dialogue will start 2-3 weeks prior to the Resilience Business Cup.

 

DAY 1: 25 October
Kick-Off with keynote speakers. 
Each start-up team are provided with a developed area and access to key experts, and one-to-one meetings with corporates and industry experts. Throughout the day, the one-to-one meetings will allow each start-up team to develop and aim their pitch towards the specific category-challenge.  
Day 1 will finish off, with pitch-presentation by each start-up for corporates and municipalities. Followed by dinner & network.  

 

DAY 2: 26 October
Day 2, continues with one-to-one meetings with corporates and industry experts as well as growth advisors from Danske Bank, +impact team, Insero and investors. 
The cup will finish off, with pitch-presentation by each start-up for corporates and municipalities. Followed by lunch & network. Selection and announcement of winners. 

 

PRIZES OF UP TO 25.000 EURO

The chosen winners will be given the opportunity to refine their business model and development plan in collaboration with businesses, Vejle Municipality and RBC2018 partners. They will also be given access to test facilities to further develop their ideas and prototypes.

 

ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL

The competition will take place in Spinderihallerne, Spinderigade 11, 7100 Vejle, Denmark on the 25th and 26th October 2018.
RBC18 will reimburse travel and accommodation expenses for selected start-ups.
